Mercury
Mercury’s valuable support of the Starship Foundation dates back to their first donation in 1999. Since then Mercury and their wonderful customers have raised millions to support children and their families at Starship, when they need it most.
Mercury’s support really took off in 2004, when Mercury customers were able to ‘be part of the magic’ by donating on their monthly bill. And they still are! Right now there are around 20,000 Mercury customers in the ‘Star Supporters Club’ who donate $3 or more each month to the Starship Foundation.
Recent projects include the expansion of Starship’s neuropsychology services, refurbishment of the consult liaison rooms, the development of a new app that helps clinicians ensure the most targeted antibiotic is prescribed, bringing the Starship 360° Experience to support the wellbeing of children in hospital, and the purchase of kid-friendly, interactive standing equipment helping children who can’t stand unaided play and engage with their surroundings in new ways.
Mercury Chief Marketing Officer Julia Jack, says; “It’s wonderful seeing what we can achieve together. Over nearly 20 years our customers have collectively raised more than $11 million through donations on their monthly bills, together with Mercury’s contribution. It’s a wonderful demonstration of the power of collective giving – with every dollar directly supporting Starship. Thank you, again, Mercury customers for making energy wonderful for Starship!”
